Activity: Print Something
Time to actually print something! Follow these steps, and be sure to ask one of the instructors or one of your classmates for help when you need it!
- Download a file. Using one of the class computers, head over to Printables and download an .stl file for a simple, pre-designed 3D item. (That link takes you to a filtered list of quick prints. Feel free to clear the filters to look at more elaborate prints. You will learn to design your own objects in other lessons.) Printables is one of many websites that allow anyone to upload and share their 3D designs. Some suggestions have been linked for you, but feel free to select any easy-to-print item. (Ask your instructor for recommendations if you’re not sure.)
Some suggestions:
Easy Print Kids Building Toys (from Thingiverse)
