Activity: Design and Cut a Name Tent

You know those folded pieces of paper with your name on them that professors sometimes ask you to put on your desk until they learn your name? Those are called name tents. Let’s make next-level name tents using Silhouette Studio and the Silhouette digital die cutter!

Your name tent can be any size or shape you’d like. Just make sure that it includes 1) your name as a cut out, and 2) a perforation so that you can fold it. You may have to figure out creative solutions to the problem of cutting out letters like “O,” “P,” “D,” “Q,” etc.

Show your name tent to an instructor when you finish, and upload a picture of it below.
