Let’s Get Started with Microcontrollers
Let’s dive in! Grab a Sparkfun Inventor’s Kit from the cabinet next to the laser cutter, open the bottom lid, and remove the SIK Guide.
Open the guide, and read until you get to the first circuit exercise. In order to complete the exercises on your personal computer, you must download 2 things: the Arduino IDE software (this is what you will use to program your microcontroller… it’s where the code goes) and the Sparkfun Inventor’s Kit 3.3 code library (SIK V3.3 Code; this is set of programs that go with the instructions in the guide). If you use a classroom laptop, they will already be installed.
