What Is a Parallel Circuit?

In MC100, you created a series circuit. Series circuits are easy to make, but there are a few reasons why series circuits are not ideal for circuits that you want to do multiple things. For example, if you wanted to create a string of orange lights to celebrate Halloween, you’d want to use a parallel circuit, rather than a series circuit.
