Activity: Create a Design

Let’s put together what you’ve learned about graphic design by putting some text and graphics together. Pick one of the three projects below.

  1. Who doesn’t want a t-shirt no one else has?! Design a t-shirt: include a logo and two fonts. Your design should incorporate color somehow. Plus, if you really like your design, you could use the Silhouette machine to make a screenprint for your shirt. Consider using Canva to create your design.
  2. Would you prefer to crunch numbers? Find your inner data scientist and create an animated infographic. It should include graphics and two fonts. Consider how you’ll use color and graphics to make the information tell a story and stand out. Need data? Check out the Census.
  3. We know you have big plans for your side hustle, so make it official and create a brand. Your brand should include: a logo and either a secondary logo or logo variants, typography (two fonts one for headings/titles and one for paragraphs), and a color palette. Present your brand in an application (like a business card, social media cover image, etc.). See this site for details about each requirement.

When you are finished, submit your design document below. Remember, you must be logged in to be able to submit your design.
