What Are All These Modules About?

These modules are about the maker movement, theories, pedagogies that are compatible with making, and design. These modules are the foundation of maker-based education.

Digital fabrication is the process of converting bits to atoms. Or, put differently, digital fabrication is about taking digital files and turning them into physical objects. These modules examine 3D printing, digital die cutting, laser cutting, and machine sewing, as well as the software needed to make these transformations happen.

Mechatronics refers to technology that combines electronics and mechanical engineering. These modules cover programming (coding), electronic circuits, and the use of tiny computers called microcontrollers.

These modules are all about design. They cover audio, video, animation, graphics, and virtual reality (<–note: at the end of last semester, our virtual reality setup died, and I could not replace it).
